Dad, can I tell you a secret...

This from our two and a half year old little girl. Telling a secret in our house means whispering something breathy into the other person's ear with the intent to tickle. Husky-pusky is a favourite. (Go on, try it! Whisper that breathily into someone's ear, and watch them squirm with laughter... Toddlers in my extended family have been saying this, and cracking up with laughter, for a great many years now.)

From said two and a half year old to her Daddy tonight, after she has snuck out of bed, yet again. "Daddy, can I tell you a secret?" "What?" asked Daddy. The secret, in a whisper, "How do you say 'go to bed!' in French?"



P.S. She still didn't go to bed, even after being told in French...
